Remember the school fondly, returned to 6th form but only lasted a short time as all my close pals had left .Eventually went to N,cle Uni and then did p.grad. training in Kent as a careers adviser. worked in West Midlands then came home. Now working for connexions service in Gateshead, Best memories old school as follows, Miss Rochester and her aspirins for any ailment, the "Alice Cooper" incident and going to old Blaydon to paint it before it was knocked down with art teacher Mr Tweddle, young and hunky for us girls then and we all sang Bohemian Rhapsody as we walked along past the "dats" Happy to hear from anyone who remembers me and these events.Thanks to Ian Hunter for letting me know about this site.

I left school and worked for Gateshead council, then became an auxilliary nurse. Been there ever since.

Wasn't at the school for long as moved in my 2nd year.Also transferred from the school on shibdon bank ,so have little memories of my time there.It was still part of my childhood which I cherish. Havn't done any big things with my life but I'm happy which is better than some.Anyone who knew me at all is welcome to contact me.

1972

Still living in Winlaton can catch me in the Westend club at the weekends driving for the co-op living with wife , daughter and dog,

1974

Joined the Royal Navy as an aircraft engineer, left in 1999 and now an engineering consultant working and living in Somerset. Don't get back up North very often now but was horrified to see that they had demolished the school.

1979

I moved in 2006 to Manchester to be with my boyfriend who is also from Manchester. I have an 18 year old who goes to Sunderland uni well there had to be one in the family who had brains ha ha. When I visit Blaydon I still find it weird to see nothing there where the school used to be it's a shame.

I now live in Prudhoe, I have been a postman delivering in and around Prudhoe and Stocksfield since 1997. I cant seem to find any photos of my old form class R2

1979

I live in Whitley Bay, married with one daughter who is fourteen. I left Blaydon comp to move to Beadnell. This website is great I am in the photo with the canoes and it brought back good memories.
